Big boost as talented midfielder extends loan for the rest of the season...

THE SADDLERS have received a boost with the news that talented midfielder, Michael Cain, has had his loan deal extended for the remainder of the season, subject to Premier League clearance.

The 20 year-old has been in impressive form in the engine room of the side since arriving from Premier League, Leicester City, in October and has found the net in each of our last two games.

He has had his loan spell extended on a couple of occasions and now we have secured his services until the end of the current campaign.

“I am really pleased that Leicester City have agreed to let Michael stay with us for the rest of the season,” said manager, Dean Smith. “He has developed extremely well during his time with us and fitted in to how we do things here.

“He’s a talented lad with a fantastic attitude and hopefully his progress will continue during the months ahead.

“It’s been a big loss losing Sam Mantom to injury, but Michael has come in and done really well for us.”

Cain added: “I’ve really enjoyed the first three months here. It’s been a great experience and a real learning curve for me.

“It’s nice to know that I will be here for the remainder of the season now, so I can settle down and really kick on.

“This is a great club to be involved with and I have developed both as a player and as a person during my time here so far. I am looking for this to continue during the months ahead.”
